The National Center for Drug Addictions (NCDA) performs the functions of:

  • Body for coordination and methodological guidance on the problems of drug abuse and drug dependence, including activities related to the prevention of drug abuse, treatment, reducing the harms and rehabilitation of persons abusing or addicted to drugs
  • Body for specialized control on medical services to persons abusing or addicted to drugs
  • Expert body in the field of drug addictions
  • National Focal Point
  • Representation of the Republic of Bulgaria in United European Information System on Drugs and Drug Addiction.
